The Merrydale Elementary team with Principal Morgan

It’s been a few weeks since we’ve been in our respective schools, and everyone seems to be doing well!

My name is Jordan and I am a corps member at Merrydale Elementary School. There are nine of us at Merrydale, and we are split up between the third, fourth, and fifth grades.

When we first arrived at the school, we were welcomed with open arms by the administration and staff. Everyone at Merrydale has been so loving and supportive of our cause, which has made the experience extremely rewarding thus far. Our principal, Mrs. Morgan, has been a strong force in making us feel accepted, and she has been open to any ideas we have had for Merrydale.

During the first week, the Merrydale corps brainstormed fundraising ideas for the school. When we realized the school did not have a “Box Tops for Education” program, we went to Mrs. Morgan with the idea and she loved it! With her help and determination, we established Box Tops for Education at Merrydale!

Box Tops letters are going to be sent to parents next week, and our school-wide competition will start once we receive our collection boxes from the program. The reason we are able to bring such a wonderful program to the school is because of Mrs. Morgan’s willingness to help us out. We are so thankful for everything she has done for us, and it has been a pleasure working with her!

There are great changes coming to Merrydale, and that’s a beautiful thing.

 In Service,

 Jordan C.
